About WidgetScreen
WidgetScreen is an independent macOS app made by Sam Cook. It adds glanceable widgets to the macOS lock screen, such as weather, clock, calendar, battery, music, and system widgets.
Free and Premium
The core WidgetScreen app is provided free of charge, with no account requirement and no subscription. An optional Premium upgrade is available as a one-time purchase; it unlocks additional features such as larger widget sizes, per-widget styling, saved profiles, and extra clocks and motion.
Premium purchases and licence keys
Premium is sold as a one-time purchase processed by Polar, a third-party payment provider. After purchase you receive a licence key that unlocks Premium features, including future Premium updates. Please keep your licence key safe; if you lose it, contact support and I will do my best to help. Refunds are handled in line with Polar's policies and applicable consumer law. If something isn't working, get in touch first and I will try to put it right.
Provided as is
WidgetScreen is provided "as is" and "as available." I try to make it useful, stable, and respectful of your Mac, but I cannot promise that it will always work perfectly, work with every setup, or remain available forever.
Changes over time
WidgetScreen may change over time. Features may be added, changed, removed, or updated as macOS changes, as the app improves, or as technical requirements shift.
Using the app appropriately
You are responsible for how you use WidgetScreen. Please use it in a lawful and appropriate way, keep your Mac and data backed up, and avoid using the app in situations where a widget issue could cause harm or important disruption.
Third-party services
Some functionality, such as weather, may rely on third-party services like Open-Meteo. Those services may change, have downtime, or provide inaccurate data. WidgetScreen cannot guarantee third-party service availability or accuracy.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, I am not liable for damages, losses, data loss, interruptions, device issues, or other problems that may result from using or being unable to use WidgetScreen. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
